Searching for a home in a school district
If you are like any parent who is thinking about their child's future, and your next home then School district is #1 on your search list criteria.
After helping hundreds of families set up for their child's success when selecting their next home, I've found these steps useful.
a) Look at Fraser institutes school ranking site first
https://www.compareschoolrankings.org/
b) Lookup Ontario EQAO ratings for literacy
https://www.app.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/sift/index.asp
c) Look up school boundary map

d) Send the boundary map to your Realtor to set up a custom search for you
Also, the Royal Lepage website has a great feature to highlight homes within a school boundary. Use it here.
Alternatively, you might elect to look at the home first then do your research on the schools after, in which case you would. Want to see which homes are within the boundary of the address you are looking at.
